Singer Bahati Finally to Enroll At Daystar University

The celebrated gospel musician Kelvin Bahati has finally decided to enroll himself at Daystar University for further studies. He had long expressed his great desire to further his studies when he started venturing in gospel music.
Citing an inadequate amount of money necessary for the requisite fees, the prominent musician was forced to abandon his dream of becoming a lawyer and a journalist, therefore taking comfort in gospel music. He has risen above the odds to become one of the most influential gospel musicians in Kenya, thanks to his hard work and strong faith in God.

Meanwhile, after writing an open letter to the president on the plight of cancer affected children at the Kenyatta National Hospital, the singer has come out defending himself against haters who claimed he simply wanted to grab media attention.
“It does not matter what they say, am serving my noble duty as a citizen of this country.” The singer
who recently returned from a three week holiday in the U.S.A. said the issue affecting the Kenyatta Hospital children cancer wing needed urgent attention as children have been dying there with no treatment given to them.
He’s scheduled for the May intake since he failed to clinch the January intake. Many believe that he will not be able to balance his roles both as a singer and a student. However, he expressed confidence by saying that he can juggle between studying and advancing his music career, owing to the fact that he managed to balance his music career and his fatherly roles.
He also said that he has been consulting with the campus to get advice on how best to balance his music and student life. “I did not want to get started and stop along the way because of making uninformed decisions. This is what has kept me waiting a bit but, yes, I’m going to Daystar University.”
He finished his K.C.S.E. in 2011 and scored a C plus at Eastleigh’s St. Theresa’s Boys. Daystar University has always been known for admitting ‘who is who’ in the Kenyan society. It boasts of having Larry Madowo and Eric Omondi as one of the members of its alumni.
